Authorisations and Charges
Why is an amount reserved on my card?
To ensure your journey runs smoothly, we temporarily reserve an estimated amount on your card before and during your ride.
This is not a final charge. Once your trip is completed, the exact fare is calculated and deducted from the reserved amount. Any remaining balance is automatically released back to your account.
When will the funds be released?
The release of reserved funds depends on your bank. In most cases, it happens quickly, though it may take up to 2–3 weeks to fully reflect in your account.
If the funds are still not available after this period, we recommend contacting your bank or our support team for assistance.
Why does it appear as a charge?
Although this is only a temporary hold, some banks display it as a completed charge.
Rest assured, no money has been taken—you will only be charged the final cost of your journey.
How can I confirm the funds have been released?
Banks typically do not send notifications when a hold is released.
The reserved amount will simply become available again in your account. You can verify this by checking your bank statement.
Why do I see multiple authorisations?
If your journey exceeds the initially reserved amount, an additional authorisation may be placed to ensure the service continues without interruption.
Why was an amount reserved in advance?
For scheduled journeys, a pre-authorisation may appear up to 48 hours before your ride. This ensures funds are available and secures your booking.
